A Roundtable Discussion with panelists Aly Arnold, Chelsea Jolly, and Elif Hazan

Navigating Narratives: Empathy, Ethics, and the Power of Listening in Film

Join us for a Roundtable Discussion with panelists Aly Arnold, Chelsea Jolly, and Elif Koyutürk who are all internationally award winning documentary filmmakers and advocates for social and environmental justice.

In this intimate discussion we’ll lean into what it means to truly listen as a storyteller, how our approach as documentarians can impact both narrative and subject, and why addressing a paradigm shift away from extractive filmmaking matters.

With topics ranging from the lesser known roles navigated by documentary filmmakers to the bigger shifts happening in the industry this discussion will work to bring a more authentic perspective on how we bring integrity to process and a deeper empathy into storytelling.

There will be time at the end for an audience Q & A.
