Excerpt: A new festival spotlights the environment and climate solutions
The Gorge Impact Film Festival is an environmentally-themed event that's making its premiere this November in Hood River, Oregon, featuring independent films, speakers, and workshops.
S.W. Conser previews the festival with three of its organizers. Alan Hickenbottom is a writer, illustrator, and entrepreneur who’s worked in renewable energy as well as non-profit arts and environmental organizations. Leith Gaines is an arts administrator and producer, who’s worked as Director of Arts in Education of the Gorge. And Sean O’Connor is a photographer, media educator, and Emmy-award-winning visual storyteller, whose work has appeared on PBS, among other media outlets.
